Parasite-specific IgG and IgG subclass antibody responses in sera. Parasite-specific IgG (A, E), IgG1 (B, F), IgG2a (C, G), and IgG2b (D, H) antibody responses were determined in VLPs (AMA1 + MIC) or VLPs(MIC)-immunized mouse sera 4 weeks after prime, 1st boost, and 2nd boost. Higher levels of P. berghei-specific IgG and IgG2a antibody responses were determined in the sera after prime, 1st boost, and 2nd boost compared to control. Data are expressed as mean ± SD and statistical significance was denoted using an asterisk (*P < 0.05). ND indicates no statistical significance among groups
