  1. * Primary monocytes were isolated from the blood of two healthy individuals designated as donor 1 and donor 2, differentiated by M-CSF into macrophages and stimulated by 10 μg/ml LPS. Degree of individual heterogeneity between two donors was expressed as nearly equal (≈), equal with different propensity (≥ or ≤), and opposite (≠).
