5-LO protein expression was evaluated by immunohistochemistry. Samples of reactive lymphoid tissue (lymph nodes, (n = 2) and tonsil, (n = 1)), mantle cell lymphoma (MCL), classic and blastoid variants (n = 10) and follicular lymphoma (FL), malignancy grades 1-3a (n = 10) were collected in a tissue microarray and simultaneously stained. The age and the sex of the patients are indicated. Expression of 5-LO in lymphoma cells was semiquantified in four levels; absence of staining in tumor cells (negative), weak staining (weak), moderate staining (moderate) and strong staining (strong) as compared to cells in reactive mantle zones that were moderately positive.
