Role of AP-1 and the MAPK Pathway in C. albicans mediated hBD induction. OE21 cells were preincubated with inhibitors for MEK (PD98059, 10 μM), p38 (SB203580 10 μM) and JNK (SP600125 20 μM) kinase pathways for 1 h and then incubated with direct contact with 0.5 × 106 PMNs/ml and coincubation with 0.5 × 104 C. albican/ml in a transwell setting for additional 24 h.
