Antibody responses in 9 week-old immunised offspring. Antibody responses in allergen immunised offspring after polarisation of the mothers immune response towards either a Th1 response ((OVA) + CpG) or a Th2 response (OVA + Al(OH)3 or OVA + PT) during pregnancy. Serum levels of OVA-specific IgE (A), IgG1 (B), and IgG2a (C) antibody concentrations are provided in arbitrary units (AU/ml). The median values are indicated by a line. Forty offspring per group of mother were included; the circles represent the average value of 4 offspring from the same mother, * denotes a statistically significant difference compared to the OVA group, p < 0.05.
