The mRNA level represents the number of cycles over endogenous control (β-actin) required to detect the gene expression of interest. Values of P were calculated using unpaired Student’s t test for unpaired samples in panel (a) and paired t test for paired samples in panel (b). Horizontal lines indicate mean values.
