Histamine and LTC 4 release from intestinal MCs after IgG-crosslinking. MCs were cultured with SCF and with or without IFN-γ (100 ng/ml) for 2 days. The last 24 h plasma IgG (10 μg/ml) was added to the culture medium if indicated. Then, MCs were washed and challenged with an anti-IgG mAb or and isotype control mAb for 60 min. FcϵRI-crosslinking induced by mAb 22E7 served as positive control and non-treated MCs as negative control. (A) Histamine (n = 6) and (B) LTC4 (n = 4) were measured in the supernatants. Means ± SEM are shown. *p < 0.05 (in comparison to medium control if not indicated otherwise).
