Profile of gene expression in HaCaT keratinocytes in response to poly(I:C) at 4 and 7 days in culture. Cells were left untreated or treated with 1 μg/ml of poly(I:C) on day 3 and harvested on day 4 or on day 7. Quantitative real-time PCR was used to analyse the expression of PHF11, claudin-1 (CLDN1), IL-8 (IL8), interferon-stimulated gene 15 (ISG15) and keratins 1, 14 or 10 (KRT1, 10, 14). Results represent 4 independent experiments. Bars indicate average ± standard deviation, asterisks indicate significant difference relative to control (p < 0.05, Mann–Whitney U-test)
