Schematic Workflow. Peripheral blood samples (100 mL) from 8 healthy donors were obtained by venipuncture and divided into four aliquots and left in gentle agitation at room temperature (24 °C) for 2 h (control), 7 h, 12 h (n = 5) and 24 h post phlebotomy. Cellular viability and counting, expression of immune-related genes, and functional evaluations were performed at each time point
