Model for regulation of RP105 signaling in LPS treated murine monocytes. RP105 (blue) associates with MD1 (purple) and CD14 (black). In response to LPS, the complex recruits SRC (black), VAV1 (grey), actin (lt. blue) and CEACAM1 (mauve). SRC phosphorylates tyrosines (red) on RP105, VAV1, and CEACAM1. SHP1 (orange) is recruited to the pITIM on CEACAM1, and in turn, is phosphorylated on its tyrosine by SRC. Downstream signaling of VAV1, dependent on recruitment of actin, is reduced by sequestration of actin by CECAM1 (shown by arrows)
