The phenotypic feature of in vitro-expanded CD8+CD28 T cells. The in vitro-expanded CD8+CD28 T cells were endowed with potent immunomodulatory capacities as suppressor T cells and were distinct in phenotype from CD8+CD28 T cells that were freshly purified from human PBMCs. Histogram represented the expression of indicated markers on freshly isolated (a) and in vitro-expanded CD8+CD28 T cells (b), respectively. Control Ab isotype (grey) was included for each staining.
