Bladder cancer T24 cells inhibit the LPS-induced DC activation and DC-stimulated T cell proliferation in vitro. Human peripheral blood monocytes were induced for DC differentiation and immature DCs were co-cultured with, or without, T24 or SV-HUC-1 for 24 h, followed by stimulation with LPS for 24 h. The levels of CD86, HLA-DR and CD11c expression in DCs were determined by flow cytometry. The capacity of each group of DCs in the presence of absence of T24 or CXCL9-treated T24 to stimulate the proliferation of purified human CD3 T cells from other subjects was examined by CCK-8 assays.
