Neutrophil-recruiting cytokines are elevated in βENaC-Tg animals at 6 and 8 weeks of age. Bead-based multiplex array was used to analyze 23 cytokines and chemokines from BAL supernatants of βENaC-Tg mice and WT controls at 6 and 8 weeks of age. a Analysis shows significantly more KC, MIP-1α, and MIP-1β in both 6 and 8 week-old βENaC-tg mice as compared to wild-type. b There were significantly higher amounts of IL-5, IL-6, G-CSF, and MCP-1 detected in the BAL of 8 week-old βENaC-Tg mice compared to WT controls.
