CD4+ T and CD8+ T cell responses in blood. Blood was collected to analyze CD4+ T and CD8+ T cell population 4 weeks after 2nd boost and on day 6 post-P. berghei infection by FACS. VLP immunization induced significantly higher levels of CD4+ T cell response before and after challenge infections compared to naïve or naïve challenge controls (A, B, *P < 0.05) whereas no significant increases in CD8+ T cell responses were observed among the three groups (C, D)
