Tryptase stimulation induces release of pro-inflammatory mediators in HBECs. HBECs were treated with 0.5 μg/ml of tryptase and cell free supernatants were obtained after 24 h stimulation. Cytokines and chemokines levels were measured by multiplex Luminex. Significant increases of IL6, MCP-1, IL-22 and CCL5 were observed (a) and levels were expressed as mean ± SD in a heat-map (b). Levels of cytokines in the Luminex panel, CCL11, CD40 Ligand, Fractalkine, Flt-3, G-CSF, GM-CSF, Granzyme B, IL-1ra, IL-2, IL-4, IL-5, IL-7, IL-12, IL-13, IL-15, IL-17E, PD-L1 and TGF-α were not detectable.
