Correlation between activated T cells and viral loads in PLWH. PBMC from PLWH (18) without viral suppression, PLWH-C (11) and PLWH-E (7). PBMC were stained with monoclonal antibodies and analyzed by eight-color flow cytometer. Viral loads were determined by a clinically validated in vitro nucleic acid amplification test for the quantitation of HIV-1 RNA in human plasma as described in Methods section (a) Correlation between the viral loads and proportion of CD8 T cells co-expressing CD38 and HLA-DR in PLWH without VS.
