The expression of Foxp3, TGF-β1 and IL-10 mRNA in spleens assessed by real-time PCR. Cytokines are known to play an important role in immunological regulation by Tregs. Therefore, we measured mRNA levels for the inhibitory cytokines, TGF-β1 and IL-10. We showed that the dynamic expression profile of TGF-β1 mRNA was the same as that of Foxp3 mRNA. This was not the case for IL-10 mRNA.
